This LA duo started out unlike most bands. They are (Marcus) Ashley and (Annie) Little and they were formed when they entered a contest to make an advert for Amazon Kindle. They eventually won both the audience and jury prize and the advert started airing (August 2009… we think!). Fast forward to now and they’ve lent their talents to a string of songs for the Kindle adverts and released an EP entitled Stole My Heart.
Their sound is ultimately Californian. Think Jenny and Johnny meets Vampire Weekend. Understated vocals, captivating arrangements and cute lyrics. They’re the perfect addition to the glorious weather of the moment.
