A Letter From the Editors

As another year rolls to a close, it’s the time when we reflect upon the twelve months that are now behind us.

And what a year it has been. It’s had ups and downs, lefts and rights, Bs and As.

Throughout the year, we’ve interviewed and talked about some of our favourite people ever. We’ve seen the first trailers for next year’s biggest titles. We’ve griped about corporate naughtiness.  We cried out with the masses. We talked geek girls and why they’re awesome. But mostly, we’ve had fun – especially poking fun at things.

In October, we won the 2011 Irish Web Award for Best Entertainment Website. That was the highlight of our year. It will be difficult for anything to come close to that. Ever. It showed us that what we’re doing means something, and that the hard work and effort we put in is all worth it.

We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who has lent their voice and their time to Pop Culture Monster; for commenting, Tweeting and Facebooking with and about us and for generally being pretty frakking awesome in every which way.

To all the contributors who gave their time and talents to write some great articles and reviews over the year. To Leona, contributor extraordinaire, who has lent not only her time and talents, but has tirelessly helped promote the site to anyone and everyone who will listen. For that, we are so grateful.

And finally, a very big thank you goes out to all of you, our readers, for helping make 2011 the most special year so far here a Pop Culture Monster – without you, we couldn’t do it. We have lots of exciting stuff planned to make 2012 just as special. We hope that you continue with us on this journey and enjoy the ride.

Until next year, bigger and better it hopefully will be, have a wonderful and safe Christmas and the happiest of New Years,

Ciarán & Ian
