Pokémon World Championships 2012

Okay. Did this exist when I was a little monster? If it did, I shall be royally miffed. That’s right I said miffed. Anyway…

This year’s Pokémon World Championship (we’re still processing this) will be held in Hawaii later this year. Trainers from across the world will be competing for the title of Pokémon Master (although if Pokémon Red is to be believed I was crowned Master when I was 12).

All the vitriol aside, this weekend saw the UK leg of the qualifiers, held in Birmingham. If you missed them (we did) the rest of the European qualifiers are as follows:

March 10th, Essen, Germany— Messe Essen, Halle 1A
March 17th, Paris, France— Espace Champerret, Hall C
March 24th, Madrid, Spain— IFEMA, Pabellón 5
April 1st, Milan, Italy— Centro Congressi Milanofiori, Strada 1

So, get yourself onto your travel provider’s website and book your tickets. But beware. If you come up against this monster, you’re gonna get schooled. OLD SCHOOLED!!!

For more details check out the website and upcoming events here.

EDIT: We’ve just discovered that these are “video game” competitions. Now I’ve got my Squirtle’s hopes up for nothing.
