Horror Movies as Goosebumps Books

If, like me, you grew up reading Goosebumps books (Ermahgerd!) there’s a new Tumblr blog that’s right up your alley. It’s called If it Were Stine, and its basic premise is to take horror movies of yore (and not so yore) and turn them into Goosebump book covers. Written and designed by Theodore Holmstead-Scott and Jude Deluca, the tagline reads, “Ancient classics and modern masterpieces of horror as seen through the neon-green, pun-dripping lense of R.L. Stine’s beloved ‘Goosebumps’ series.” And that’s exactly what they’ve done so perfectly. It’s the puns that really made the Goosebumps series so delightful. I’ve collected a few of my favourites here, but for the full series check out the Tumblr.
