I haven’t been this exctied about a game for a very long time. And with everything we’ve seen so far, it only makes me wish October 21 to arrive sooner. Please?
Check out these new screenshots. And below there’s the new trailer featuring Joker (voiced once again by Mark Hamill). Unfortunately Arleen Sorkin hasn’t reprised her role as Harley (*sob*), so we’ll reserve judgement of the new gal until we’ve played. But she sounds good so far.

Smurfs game on Android (Android OS)
Yes, that’s right. There’s a Smurfs game coming for Android smartphones. It’s called Smurfs Village and is based on the original cartoon. You begin as a rookie Smurf under the guidance of Papa Smurf. You have a single mushroom house and a plot of land. From there, you build yourself a smurfin’ empire. It seems that it’s basically Farmville but with Smurfs. We’ll be trying it out though. Developed by Beeline Interactive, it’s released on the Android Marketplace tomorrow, 28th.
Square Enix address Final Fantasy’s “damaged” reputation
Square Enix’s CEO Yoichi Wada referenced Final Fantasy’s “damaged” reputation at a Tokyo press conference. About the XIV installment in the series, Wada said “the Final Fantasy brand has been greatly damaged… We’ll continue with our reform work, which basically amounts to fully redoing the game, and hope to revive the FFXIV that should have been released.” Well, fair play to them for owning-up to their failings.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim voice cast announced (360, PC, PS3)
Skyrim has really gone all out with its voice cast. There’s more award winners than you could shake a stick at. Two-time Emmy and Tony Award winning and Acadamy Award nominee, Christopher Plummer, takes on the role of Arngeir, a powerful Greybeard elder. Academy Award nominee, Max Von Sydow, voices Esbern, a chronicler and agent of the Blades who has survived in hiding. Tony Award winner and three-time Academy Award nominee, Joan Allen, voices Delphine, one of the last remaining members of the Blades – an ancient warrior society once sworn to protect the Emperor.
In addition, Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman), voices Gormlaith Golden-Hilt, one of the Nord heroes who overthrew the dragons in ancient times. Inspired casting. Kudos, Bethesda.
Other cast members include, Michael Hogan (BSG), Vladimir Kulich (Smoking Aces), Claudia Christian (Babylon 5), Diane Louise Salinger(Carnivale), Renee Victor (Weeds), and Saturday Night Live-alum George Coe. The cast consists of more than 70 different voice actors delivering over 60,000 lines of dialogue. Impressive. The game better live up to its voice cast. Otherwise I will shake my paw at you for a long time. Bethesda, you are warned…
Skyrim is released November 11 on Windows, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Brazilian Portuguese version of WoW (PC)
Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. have announced that they’re planning to release their Brazilian Portuguese language version of the MMO World of Warcraft in Europe. It marks the tenth officially supported language for the universe. Existing WoW players will be able to download a free language pack, additionally they will be releasing a retail boxed version. Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm, will also be released in Brazilian Portuguese in Europe, in addition to World of Warcraft itself, which now includes the content of the first expansion, The Burning Crusade.
Digimon Masters begins its Beta testing (PC)
Joymax have started open Beta testing the new Digimon MMORPG, Digimon Masters today. If you fancy signing up and getting your Digimon on, you can click this link. If you’ve never Beta tested before, remember that it’s not going to be perfect. There will be glitches and bugs. And remember, when you find them, report them and help Joymax make it better. You’ll also more than likely be furnished with some sort of reward (usually gold). The screenshots we’ve seen look great. We’ll be posting some tomorrow. So until then sign up and get playing.
