Battles. Badass Ladies. Time Travel. That’s the premise of new web series Pike and Trident.
The series, created by leads Kim Turney and Patty Jean Robinson, sees Myrtle Pike and Trudy Trident – a pair of (hardcore) museum curators from the year 3535 – travel to the past to gather relics displaced in time. After an incident (involving an over the shoulder flip and expensive piece of technology), the pair is thrust together in an attempt to rectify their mistake and gather up all of the items scattered through time and space.
Episode 1, “A Viking We Will Go!”, sees the duo in Norway in 1187, trying to recover a pair of priceless AFPs (we won’t spoil that joke on you).
I really enjoyed episode one of P&T. I love the “let’s settle our disputes by killing each other” dynamic of the two leads and hope that that continues throughout. Given the series combat focus I’m sure we can expect to see Pike and Trident fighting not only each other, but anyone history has to throw at them.
