Long before Our Lord and Saviour Joss Whedon made the best TV programmes of all time, namely Buffy and Firefly come on, he was working at a video store (remember them?!). He packed that in and took a job writing for Roseanne (remember that?!) and the rest, as they say, is history.
In this really interesting series of videos from BAFTA’s On Filmmaking series Whedon gives us insight into his craft. He explores how he approaches storytelling and ideas, directing, and how being a true romantic, and therefore a cynic, colours his work.
